चर्च के कारण 3200 बच्चों की मौत .

सत्यता और सुलह आयोग ने पांच वर्ष पहले संस्थान में हुए मामले की विस्तृत रिपोर्ट सौंपते हुए बताया था कि दुर्व्यवहार व लापरवाही के कारण 3200 बच्चों की मौत हो गई थी। जिसमें कैमलूप्स स्कूल में 1915 से 1963 के बीच कम से कम 51 की मौत हुई। 1831 से 1996 के बीच कनाडा के आवासीय स्कूलों में देशभर से 1.50 लाख से ज्यादा बच्चों को उनके घरों से लाया गया था । जिनमें से बहुत सारे प्रताड़ना , बलात्कार और कुपोषण का शिकार हुए।
