दरअसल उधम सिंह नगर के एसएसपी के निर्देशों के अनुसार एसओजी प्रभारी की टीम लगातार शराब तस्करी पर कार्रवाई कर रही थी कार्रवाई करते हुए एसओजी की टीम ने एक युवक को 8 पेटी शराब के साथ गिरफ्तार किया था  ।  युवक की निशानदेही पर टीम ने बगवाड़ा स्थित एक गोदाम पर छापा मारा। जिसके चलते उन्हें गोदाम से बियर व अवैध शराब की करीब 3 हजार से अधिक पेटी बरामद हुई है। जिसकी कीमत डेढ़ करोड रुपए बताई जा रही है ।

मिली जानकारी के अनुसार गोदाम का अनुबंध किसी कंपनी के साथ बीयर के लिए हुआ था । वहीं गोदाम लगभग 5 साल  से बंद पड़ा था। आबकारी महकमे के सूत्रों की माने न तो ये ब्रांड हरीश रावत की एफएलटू नीति शासन द्वारा हटाये जाने के बाद पंजीकृत हुए न ही लेबल दोबारा मंजूर कराए गए  ।
