लखनऊ, आजमगढ़, वाराणसी, प्रयागराज मंडल की आयकर विभाग की टीम ने बृहस्पतिवार की सुबह करीब आठ बजे जांच शुरू की थी। इस दौरान टीम ने ओम प्रकाश जायसवाल, उनकी पत्नी माधुरी जायसवाल, भयोहू व नगर पालिका शाहगंज अध्यक्ष गीता जायसवाल, भाई प्रदीप जायसवाल, भतीजा सुजीत जायसवाल और दो भतीजियों से भी अलग-अलग पूछताछ की।

शनिवार की शाम पांच बजे सात इनोवा कारें ओम प्रकाश के फार्म हाउस के अंदर गईं। फिर करीब छह बजे सभी कारें बाहर निकलीं। अधिकारी यहां से बड़ी संख्या में दस्तावेज भी ले गए। जांच के दौरान तलाशी में आयकर टीम को एक करोड़ तीन लाख 36 हजार रुपये मिले। टीम ने शुक्रवार को इनमें से एक करोड़ तीन लाख रुपये भारतीय स्टेट बैंक ऑफ इंडिया की शाखा शाहगंज से आयकर विभाग के नई दिल्ली के खाते में दो बार में ट्रांसफर किए। इसकी पुष्टि ओम प्रकाश जायसवाल ने भी की।
