गंगा के बढ़ते जलस्तर को देखते हुए, वाराणसी में अलर्ट

The water level of Ganga continues to rise. The water level is rising rapidly due to the rains falling on the Ganges basin area and the mountains. In the last 24 hours, the water level of Ganga has increased by more than one meter. According to the Central Water Commission, the Ganga is increasing at a speed of 1.5 cm per hour. The elongation has again raised the concerns of the sailors. The Ganges is now slowly moving towards the steps of the Ghat. Due to the rising water level of the Ganges, the lower steps of many ghats were submerged in water. The water level of Ganga was recorded at 60.58 meters at 10 pm on Monday. At the same time, the water level was 60.43 meters at eight in the morning. The water level in the Ganges rose by 15 cm in 14 hours. At the same time, the water level of Ganga was recorded at 59.57 meters on Sunday morning. In view of the rising water level, an alert has also been issued by the administration. Due to the rise in water level, sand cutting has started across the Ganges. The sand deposited on both sides of the canal, which is being built about one kilometer ahead of the Ganges stream, has also started falling apart. The platform which is being built by putting sand and debris in front of Mirghat, Lalita Ghat, Jalasen and Manikarnika crematorium, is also being expressed fear of drowning in the Ganges stream soon.

गंगा के जलस्तर में बढ़ोतरी जारी है। गंगा बेसिन क्षेत्र और पहाड़ों पर हो रही बरसात के कारण जलस्तर तेजी से बढ़ रहा है। पिछले 24 घंटे में गंगा के जलस्तर में एक मीटर से अधिक की बढ़ोतरी दर्ज की गई। केंद्रीय जल आयोग के अनुसार, डेढ़ सेंटीमीटर प्रतिघंटे की रफ्तार से गंगा में बढ़ाव हो रहा है। बढ़ाव ने नाविकों की चिंता फिर से बढ़ा दी है। गंगा अब धीरे-धीरे घाट की सीढ़ियों की ओर बढ़ने लगी हैं।

गंगा के बढ़ते जलस्तर के कारण कई घाटों की निचली सीढ़ियां पानी में डूब गईं। सोमवार रात 10 बजे गंगा का जलस्तर 60.58 मीटर दर्ज किया गया। वहीं, सुबह आठ बजे जलस्तर 60.43 मीटर था। 14 घंटे में गंगा के जलस्तर में 15 सेंटीमीटर की बढ़ोतरी हुई। वहीं, रविवार को सुबह गंगा का जलस्तर 59.57 मीटर दर्ज किया गया था। बढ़ते जलस्तर को देख प्रशासन की तरफ से भी अलर्ट जारी कर दिया गया है।जलस्तर बढ़ने से गंगापार रेत की कटान शुरू हो गई है। गंगा की धारा से लगभग एक किलोमीटर आगे बनाई जा रही नहर के दोनों किनारे पर जमा बालू भी कट-कट कर गिरने लगे हैं। मीरघाट, ललिता घाट, जलासेन और मणिकर्णिका श्मशान के सामने बालू और मलबा डालकर जो प्लेटफार्म बनाया जा रहा है, उसके भी जल्दी ही गंगा की धारा में डूबने की आशंका व्यक्त की जा रही है।
