पाकिस्तान के विदेश मंत्रालय के कार्यालय के मुताबिक, विदेश मंत्री शाह महमूद कुरैशी  ने कहा है कि पाकिस्तान ने भारत के 5 अगस्त, 2019 के कदम का पूरी तरह से विरोध किया और आगे भी करता रहेगा। उन्होंने कहा कि भारत को 5 अगस्त, 2019 की कार्रवाई के बाद कश्मीर में कोई और अवैध कदम उठाने से बचना चाहिए।बता दें कि प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी की अध्यक्षता में जम्मू-कश्मीर के सर्वदलीय नेताओं की आज बैठक होनी है। मोदी सरकार ने जम्मू-कश्मीर की 14 राजनीतिक पार्टियों को एक बैठक में शामिल होने का न्यौता दिया है। बताया जा रहा है कि बैठक में राज्य में विधानसभा चुनाव कराए जाने पर अहम चर्चा हो सकती है।

पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री और पीडीपी प्रमुख महबूबा मुफ्ती ने पीएम संग बैठक में शामिल होने का निमंत्रण मिलने की पुष्टि की। इस दौरान उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि इस बैठक में पाकिस्तान को भी शामिल किया जाना चाहिए। उनके इस बयान विवाद खड़ा हो गया।
