सरकारी समाचार एजेंसी ‘शिन्हुआ’ की खबर के मुताबिक,  हेनान के प्रांतीय मौसम विज्ञान विभाग ने बताया कि प्रांतीय राजधानी झेंगझोऊ में मंगलवार शाम चार से पांच बजे के बीच रिकॉर्ड 201.9 मिलीमीटर बारिश हुई। झेंगझोऊ नगर केंद्र में मंगलवार को 24 घंटे में औसतन 457.5 मिमी बारिश हुई। मौसम संबंधी रिकॉर्ड रखे जाने के बाद से यह एक दिन में अब तक हुई सर्वाधिक बारिश है।

खबर के अनुसार, कई जगह पानी भर जाने के कारण शहर में यातायात ठप पड़ गया। सड़क और हवाई मार्ग बाधित है। 80 से अधिक बसों की सेवाएं निलंबित करनी पड़ी, 100 से अधिक के मार्ग बदले गए और ‘सबवे’ सेवांए भी अस्थायी रूप से बंद कर दी गई हैं। बारिश का पानी शहर की ‘लाइन फाइव’ की सबवे सुरंग में चला गया, जिससे एक ट्रेन में कई यात्री फंस गए।
