अन्वी भूटानी ने अपने विजय घोषणा पत्र में कहा कि मौजूदा मानसिक स्वास्थ्य सहायता कार्यक्रमों के लिए अधिक वित्तपोषण को लेकर प्रचार किया जाना चाहिए। साथ ही विश्वविद्यालय परामर्श सेवाओं तक अधिक पहुंच और कम प्रतीक्षा समय की दिशा में भी काम किया जाना चाहिए। उपचुनाव के लिए अब तक का सर्वाधिक मतदान दर्ज किया गया.ये उपचुनाव भारतीय छात्र रश्मि सामंत के इस्तीफे के बाद हुआ, जिन्हें फरवरी में अपने पिछले सोशल मीडिया पोस्ट को लेकर विवाद के बीच पद छोड़ने के लिए मजबूर होना पड़ा था। इस बार चुनाव मैदान में अब तक के सबसे अधिक उम्मीदवार थे, जिसमें 11 छात्र अध्यक्ष पद की होड़ में थे।
