बागपत जनपद में दो दिनों से लगातार हो रही बारिश से दिल्ली-सहारनुपर हाइवे की घटिया गुणवत्ता मंगलवार देर रात सामने आ गई। हाइवे जगह-जगह से धंस गया। कोई बड़ा हादसा न हो इसके लिए एनएचएआई के स्टाफ को हाइवे की एक साइड यातायात रोकना पड़ा। मौके पर पहुंची पुलिस ने ट्रैफिक को हाइवे की दूसरी साइड डायवर्ट कराया। इसके चलते वाहन चालकों को मुश्किलों का सामना करना पड़ा।

दो दिन से लगातार हो रही बारिश और अधूरे निर्माण कार्यों की वजह से दिल्ली-सहारनपुर हाइवे पर जलभराव है जिससे सड़क को नुकसान पहुंच रहा है। मंगलवार रात पाली गांव के पास हाइवे कई जगह से धंस गया जिसकी वजह से वाहन चालकों को दिक्कत होने लगी।

हाइवे धंसने की सूचना पर एनएचएआई के कर्मचारियों की टीम मौके पर पहुंच गई। हाइवे की एक साइड यातायात के लिए बंद कर दी गई। जानकारी मिलने पर कोतवाली प्रभारी एनएस सिरोही भी फोर्स के साथ मौके पर पहुंच गए। पुलिस ने हाइवे की दूसरी साइड यातायात को डायवर्ट कर दिया। हालांकि वाहन चालकों को मुश्किलों का सामना करना पड़ा।

उनका कहना था कि इस हाइवे पर टोल वसूला जाता है। इसके बाद भी इसके निर्माण में इतनी ज्यादा लापरवाही बरती गई। गनीमत रही कि हाइवे धंसने की वजह से कोई हताहत नहीं हुआ। कोई बड़ा वाहन धंसने से बड़ा हादसा हो सकता था। इस संबंध में कोतवाली इंस्पेक्टर एनएस सिरोही से बात की गई तो उन्होंने बताया कि हाइवे धंसने की सूचना मिली है। कोतवाली से दरोगा को फोर्स के साथ मौके पर भेजा गया है।
